Crele Penedesenca are a rare, autosexing dark brown egg–laying breed known for their rich eggshell pigment and distinctive crele patterning.

You’ll often see claims online that Penedesenca are not cold hardy — but they do just fine in our Minnesota winters. Like any single-combed breed, their combs can be more susceptible to frostbite in extreme conditions.
