Wild Type Patina is our line of heavy bloom olive egger hatching eggs. The birds in this collection are the result of generations of selection for egg colors ranging from dusty blue, silvery sage green, and weathered olive to warm terracotta, peachy pink, and frosty lilac. 

The hatching eggs you receive will show you the shades of green to expect from this line and roughly one quarter of the hens who hatch from these eggs will lay the brown tones described above.

Our breeding philosophy focuses on producing hens that lay unique colors while maintaining the productivity and hardiness needed in a working backyard flock.
